Beginning
I was hired as a UX Designer during the uncertain times (pandemic) in 2021 to spearhead the GEP supply chain enterprise experience for more than 4 products serving more than 3 clients in a fast-paced environment.
GEP is new in the supply-chain software business, product sales demo takes precedence in our UX workflow (because sales generates revenue). Overall, I produced 7 hands-on B2B product experience demos from the ground up for customers from which we obtained 3 contracts.

A unified platform that helps supply meet the demand by enabling buyers, suppliers and warehouse partners to improve forecasting, planning, and buying strategies.

Business Problem
Client (Buyer) is currently using legacy tools (spreadsheets) to forecast material demands to its suppliers and warehouse owners to manufacture end product.
Managing the documents for critical forecasting communication proved to be frustrating for business partners’ users and impacted supplier and warehouse owner adoption of legacy tools which negatively impacted supply-chain operations.
GEP proposed a unified digital forecasting platform that enables our client and their partners to effortlessly plan and communicate key forecasting information with a goal to prevent production delays and understocking/overstocking supplies.
Design Goal
Client (Buyer) is currently using legacy tools (spreadsheets) to forecast material demands to its suppliers and warehouse owners to manufacture end product.
We've integrated the following elements into our design to meet user demands and gain an advantage over competitors: A solid understanding of spreadsheets, lessening cognitive strain via progressive unveiling, data visualization for swift decision-making, and enhancing user efficiency.

Concept, Design
& prototype in 4 weeks
I'm proud of this project because we were able to design and deliver a static prototype from scratch within 4 weeks. While we did conduct usability test, the goal was to build something. Here is how the work was broken down.
Week 1 & 2 —
I conducted thorough requirements gathering and problem understanding, followed by a competitive analysis to benchmark existing solutions. I then defined the problem through a customer journey map, which informed my design ideation process. Finally, I validated the initial design concepts with stakeholders to ensure alignment with user needs and business goals.
Week 3 —
I optimized the data loading and user experience through information architecture refinement, progressed from wire sketches to mid-to-hi-fi wireframes, and developed prototype flows tailored to persona-based use cases.
Week 4 —
I conducted guerilla and usability testing to gather quick user insights, followed by a feasibility check with the engineering team. I finalized hi-fi mockups, handed off detailed UI specs to engineering, and performed QA for the MVP through an implementation audit, ensuring smooth communication and task tracking via JIRA tickets.
Product Understanding Demand-Supply Ecosystem
With the help of Product Managers, we were able to gather the product understanding and scope through previous work and supply chain ecosystem. Here's how we illustrated our understanding.
Introducing out persona
Buyer — Warehouse manager — Supplier
We created a persona to ground every design decision in research and clarify who we were designing for.
Original designs
We were able to test the original designs that helped us design them in a user-friendly, aesthetic user experience.
The proportional use of space directs the user's attention naturally to the most important elements, like the Current Forecast graph. From there, the user can seamlessly move to the more detailed data below, minimizing cognitive overload.
Feature #2
Time Series Data Viz
Time series data visualization simplifies complex forecast trends by displaying patterns, anomalies, and shifts over time, enabling quick comprehension of data insights. This clarity empowers fast, data-driven decision-making by highlighting critical changes and actionable points in the forecast.
Feature #3
Use of Shapes
The use of distinct shapes in alert indicators enhances clarity by visually differentiating warning levels, while also improving aesthetics through structured, intuitive design elements.
Feature #4
Progressive Disclosure
Progressive disclosure presents information incrementally, showing essential content first while providing affordances for deeper exploration, ensuring a streamlined and intuitive user experience.
